4 L’ Aber Wrac’h to Ile de Sein, entering the Bay of Biscay

Still enjoying favourable winds to make progress towards the southern coast of Brittany, where we will be spending some weeks to enjoy the french coastal life.

A nice combination of old favourites, like the wrecks of old fishing boats in Camaret and breakfast on the terrace at cafe de la Cale in Ste Marine, and new discoveries like Ile de Sein with its inhospitable coast. This tiny Island is as famous for its war heroes and tough inhabitants as it is for its dangerous currents and rocks underwater. We however had lovely weather, no wind and were welcomed by a dolphin tumbling lazily around in the harbour entrance . In winter this Island where no trees will grow has 20 days of stormy wind every month.

Enjoyed a ‘private’ Dolphin’ at the bow when leaving Ile de Sein
