From Menorca back to Mallorca for another nice family visit. First we welcomed Appie who flew in from his exchange in Norway. A few days later he was happily reunited with his girlfriend Indra who came in from her exchange in Barcelona.
It turned out the west coast of Mallorca was even more beautiful then the east coast and we anchored in the blue-est water in narrow Calas where the massive rocky walls seemed overwhelmingly impressive after a day in the wide horizons at sea. Impressive too was the swell and we would be rocked to sleep by the waves not overly friendly but quite rough at times.
Taking the dinghy to the shore to explore the nature of Mallorca was a joy to share with the kids.
Swimming between the many different colourful fish was easily kept up for days and after a nice meal on board the sunsets were incredible.
In Eivissa we sadly had to say goodbye to Indra and Appie and they were again to be separated until their holiday together. That is another blog, not to be made by us.
It was time to go north again for we would be returning home for several weeks and after that we should meet Sabina and Marius in Nice. Rough weather was coming and so we looked for a place where we could anchor safe from wind and waves. Cala de Santa Ponça looked safe and as it turned out we were not the only ones to wait for better sailing winds. It was so nice to reunite with de Zeester and meet de Witte Walvis, we spent a few lovely relaxed days and made a visit by bus to Palma de Mallorca. Time to spare to do some shopping and cooking in advance for our 48 hour trip to Porquerolles in France.
France we are on our way.
